Reduce search results to high-quality matches
Currently the search seems to always return 20 results regardless of how many actual matches there are for a search. While fuzzy search and context search is good and important, clutter can make it hard to know where to click. Additionally, if there really is no suitable article I think users should be told as such instead of being suggested other content which will end up not helping them.

Generate image ALT text with AI
When manually adding an image to an article it’d be nice if ferndesk could automatically generate the alt text for that image based on what it sees as well as the context of the surrounding text.

Increase width on help center
More importantly the width of the article in the actual help center has a narrower width than the editor. The editor has a max with for content of about 700px while the live help-center only has 575px for the content. Generally I’d like the content to be wider on the live version since it gives screenshots more space. No need to have people squint at small images when there’s lots of space:

Don't show a collection if it has no live articles
Whether our domains collection has no articles at all or has an unpublished draft, the live helpcenter shows the category in the sidebar. Imo it should be hidden.

Decorating screenshots
When dealing with screenshots in complex UIs there’s always the conundrum of showing the entire screen for context and the action being hard to find or cropping the screen and losing important context. We will therefore sometimes all overlays to screenshots like shown below. It’s annoying to do those in Figma, having to export, upload, etc. It’d be amazing to be able to just draw a simple element over screenshots in Ferndesk. Ideally don’t even bake them into the image so they can inherit the brand color/style and can easily be updated throughout the entire helpdesk. You could just store the coordinates and size of the overlay elements with the image and then render the overlays with html. That could even make them interactive down the road! Lots of cool potential here! On a related note it’d be nice to customize how the AI highlights things in screenshots. If there was a setting for screenshot annotation/overlays, the AI could perhaps also reference that when creating screenshots.

Add an "article reference" element to the editor
Our articles often reference other articles. We can already create a normal text link to another article but it would be nice to have more of a card-style article insert that shows the title and snippet.

Add button to the text editor
When opening the / menu in the editor it’d be nice to get an option to insert a button. It can look super basic and I don’t need any customization aside from text and url.

Approved by Human
I would love a simple button on each of the articles that just says "Approved by Human" and which human approved it. AI is great, however it will make mistakes, so just having this final approval, especially when it comes to developer documentation, would really make me feel a bit more comfortable.

I’d love the ability to add Loom videos. I’m migrating from another helpdesk, which already has a load of them. I’d rather not have to re-record them

Support for Writing and Updating Feedback Posts
It would be AMAZING to use this same technology to monitor/write/update Feedback posts! We try to write Feedback Posts for anything client facing to explain it that way and notify individually that way. Not sure if that's best practice for a company but I've been looking for a way to automate the writing of these.
